The Ad Recipe

This policy explains what The Ad Recipe (“the Site”) collects, why, and what we do with it. The short, human version: we collect what you type into our forms and standard analytics, we use it to run the Site and publish credited recipes, we never publish your email, and we don’t sell your information.
Form submissions. When you share a recipe, revise one, flag a recipe, or contact us, we collect what you provide: your name, email address, optional website or social link, and the content of your submission or message. Analytics and logs. Like most websites, we use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — pages visited, approximate location from IP, browser and device type. Cookies. The Site uses only the minimal cookies needed for it and its analytics to function; we don’t run advertising or tracking pixels on the Site.
We use submissions to review, edit, and publish recipes; to credit contributors; to investigate flags; and to reply to messages. We use analytics to understand what content helps people and to improve the Site. We send email only in direct response to something you did — a reply to your message, a question about your submission. We do not add you to a marketing list, and we don’t send newsletters unless you explicitly sign up for one (if we ever launch one, it will be opt-in with one-click unsubscribe).
If your recipe or revision is published, your name and the website or social link you chose to provide appear as the credit on that recipe. Your email address is never published and is used only to communicate with you about your submission. Flags are reviewed internally and are not published with your identity.
Some Kitchen Original recipes are drafted with the assistance of AI tools before human review (see How Recipes Are Made). Your form submissions — recipes, flags, and messages — are reviewed by humans and are not fed into AI tools or used to train AI models.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information — and under California law (CCPA/CPRA), we don’t “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising either. We use a small set of service providers to run the Site — web hosting, email delivery, and analytics — who process data only to provide those services. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Site and its users.
We keep submissions as long as the related content is published or as needed to run the Site, and contact messages as long as needed to handle them. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to remove a published credit or submission, by reaching out through the contact page — we’ll handle it promptly and won’t treat you differently for asking. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we honor the same requests from everyone, regardless of where you live.
The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
